It’s hard to believe that we’re getting ready to wrap up another school year! If you’re anything like me, you’re already counting down to the last day and are beginning to think about end of the year gifts. I wanted to share a few inexpensive gift ideas that my tiny humans have LOVED in previous years.

Sidewalk Chalk

My tiny humans love playing with sidewalk chalk at recess and they always love getting their own pack of it to take home for the summer. You can usually find little packs of it at Dollar Tree, Michael’s, Walmart, or Target! I’ve also purchased larger packs and split it up for my tiny humans too.

Beach Balls

Beach balls are a super fun gift to give at the end of the year. I’ve used these balls from Amazon and had all my tiny humans sign each ball with a permanent marker.

Books

You KNOW I’m not going to pass up an opportunity to put a book in the hands of a tiny human. I like to save up bonus points throughout the year then use them to pick out books to give each tiny human on the last day of school.

Sunglasses

Who doesn’t love a good pair of sunglasses?! You can usually find them at Dollar Tree but my tiny humans have loved these shades from Amazon too! They’re under $20 and because of my class size, I was able to get two years of gifts out of the set.

Popsicles

Is there anything more refreshing than a yummy popsicle on a hot summer day? The answer is no. You can get freezer pops at Dollar Tree, Walmart, or your local grocery store. I like to tie a few together with ribbon and a cute tag.

Bubbles

These are a fun and expensive gift that every tiny human LOVES. I typically get packs at Dollar Tree. Sometimes they come in sets of three and sometimes they’re in sets of four. I’ve found that it depends on the year. Walmart and Michael’s both sell bubble wands that are usually a hit with the tiny humans as well.

Water Bottles

Everyone could use a water bottle! This is an easy but practical gift. If I time it right, I can usually grab a bunch for fifty cents at Walmart when they go on clearance.

Beach Buckets

I love giving my tiny humans a beach bucket at the end of the year. They’re a great summer toy but if I’m putting together an assortment of little gifts for them, the bucket doubles as a gift bag!

Playdoh

Kids LOVE playdoh. You can buy it at just about any store but I prefer to buy it on Amazon. Usually it ends up being a little less expensive and it gets delivered right to my doorstep which I appreciate during the busy end of the year time.

Goldfish Crackers

Snacks. Everyone loves snacks. I’ve never met a tiny human (or a human in general…) who doesn’t like goldfish. They’re an easy, inexpensive gift and the perfect after school snack! Once again, I like to buy mine on Amazon because they’re less expensive than the grocery store.

If you’re in need of a tag for any of the suggestions above, you’re in luck! I have a set of end of the year gift tags available in my TeachersPayTeachers store. There’s a tag for each of the gifts I suggested above and more! Each ready to print tag comes in color as well as a black and white version. There’s also a customizable version so you can add your own name before printing!

I hope you enjoy these last few days with your tiny humans. They’re going to fly by and summer will be here before you know it!

xoxo,

Chelsea
