About Me

Hey! I’m Chelsea.

A calm, cool, and collected educational rockstar.

HA! Just kidding….it sounded good though, right? I’m really a 20-something year old hot mess with a passion for real talk, caffeine, and changing the future within the walls of my classroom.

Born and raised in Maine, I attended the University of Maine at Farmington and the University of Maine at Augusta for my undergrad. I changed majors within the education field a few times and even double majored in Elementary Education and Special Education for a while. After graduating from UMA, I was accepted into an accelerated graduate program at the University of Southern Maine. I began grad school in August of 2014 and in May of 2015, I graduated with my masters in Teaching and Learning. In June of 2015, I was hired to fill the 3rd grade position formally held by my student teaching mentor and the rest is history!

I’ve been a teacher-author on TeachersPayTeachers since 2016. Creating my own resources started out as a way to help me fill the gaps in my teaching and it quickly turned into a hobby. Now, thanks to TpT, not only have I been able to turn my hobby into an incredibly rewarding business venture, but I have been able to connect and form life-long friendships with some amazing teachers all over the world!

When I’m not teaching, lesson planning, or creating resources, I have about 42 seconds left in my day to eat and sleep. For real though, I enjoy traveling, crafting, spending time with my family, and watching Netflix. Although I’m currently on a fitness hiatus, I also enjoy exercising. I’m a former (and hopefully future) runner and my favorite race to participate in is The Dempsey Challenge. It raises money for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing and as someone with multiple family members who have battled cancer, I’m a HUGE supporter of the center and its mission.

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world. I hope you’re able to find something helpful!
