It’s hard to believe that we’re already making plans for December! As we enter this busy month, I wanted to share some of my favorite holiday picture books with you. I shared some of my favorite titles last year but there are so many great stories out there that I just have to share some more! Here are five must-have picture books for the month of December!
It’s Spark the Elf’s job to keep Santa Claus on schedule as he travels the world delivering gifts. After six hours of travel, Santa starts to fall behind. There are so many cookies to eat and dogs to cuddle! They’re able to make up the time and get back to the North Pole but there’s a surprise in Santa’s bag when they arrive!
The Catch Club Kids heard about a yeti so they head to the mountains in hope of finding him. Will they be able to prove that the yeti is real by catching him in one of their clever traps?
Unlike the well-behaved dachshund, Trevor, Pig the Pug refuses to go to sleep on Christmas Eve. When Santa arrives, Pig has no problem calling him out for the pile of presents that he leaves. What happens when Pig nips at Santa and holds on until the sleigh flies away?
If there’s anything Marshall knows for certain, it’s that Gingerbread men can’t run. He can’t wait to eat his cookie after baking with his class all morning but when it’s time to take the gingerbread men out of the oven, they’re gone! The gingerbread men send the class on a hunt around the school. Will the gingerbread be found? Will this change Marshall’s mind?
Fletcher and the Snowflake Christmas
The rabbits have moved to a new burrow and Fletcher is excited to celebrate Christmas Eve with them. There’s one problem though…will Santa know where to deliver their presents?
I hope this list was helpful! If you’re looking for more books to share with your tiny humans this month, check out this post with other must-have December picture books!
